This midrise is located in the depths of Tsvetnoy Boulevard, in Moscow’s dense historical city centre. The main design goal was to create a building with great views while mindful of the height restrictions and the proximity of its neighbours.
Rounded window recesses, the exterior’s single decorative element, add volume and character to the calm and restrained dolomite façade. That restraint ensured a good fit into the surrounding context without visually overloading the patchwork environment of the area. The width of the windows varies gradually along with the view quality: the narrowest windows are located on the lower floors and in proximity to other buildings, and the widest are on the top floor that is occupied by penthouses.
The lobby interior is inspired by the relief of the façade. Its curved panels with built-in mailboxes echo the rounded window recesses. The floors are lined with terrazzo and the walls are trimmed with Tibur stone. The clean colour scheme is complemented by metal art objects.
